Orlando Hypnotherapy

Orlando Hypnotherapy: Frequently Asked Questions

The world of Orlando hypnotherapy is often seen as mysterious and out of the mainstream. Many people are unsure of how hypnotherapy works, and they doubt its benefits. But if you’ve never tried Orlando hypnotherapy yourself, you might want to reserve judgment until you actually give it a chance. The truth is that millions of people around the world have relied upon hypnosis to conquer fears, reduce stress, overcome grief, defeat habits, and many other things. By keeping an open mind as you go into your therapy session, you’ll make the whole process much easier.

Even trained and licensed hypnotherapists tend to face a lot of doubt and misconceptions about their work. Here are just a few of the most common questions they hear:

Do I lose control under hypnosis?

No, you do not lose control of yourself when you’re hypnotized. You are not placed under the control of the hypnotist, and you are not forced to do things against your will. In fact, it could be argued that under hypnosis you enter a heightened state of control; all of the sudden, you feel like you can change anything about your life, and appropriately enough, you can.

Do I lose consciousness under hypnosis?

Contrary to popular belief, hypnosis is nothing like going to sleep, and it doesn’t put you in a trance. After your session, you will remember everything that happened. In fact, you’ll remember everything perfectly clearly, and it will feel like a revelatory, life-changing experience.

How long does hypnotherapy take?

The answer to this question varies from person to person. If you go into your hynotist with an open mind and a willingness to cooperate fully with your hypnotist, then you should begin to see results immediately. However, if you have doubts, or if the problem you seek to remedy is deeply engrained, it may take a little longer. In any event, plan to attend at least three or four sessions before you make your therapeutic breakthrough.

What if I can’t be hypnotized?

The idea that there are some people who can’t be hypnotized is a myth. Granted, some people don’t take to it as easily as others, but a qualified hypnotist can work with anyone, no exceptions.

How long does it take?

Different hypnotherapists have different approaches to the process. Some like to spend a solid hour with a patient in order to get deep into that hypnotized state, while others feel like the job can be done in under half an hour. Your therapist may need to see you for a couple of sessions before she can determine the length of time you require to get in and out of your hypnotized state.

How does it work, exactly?

You will be brought into a quiet, relaxing room, and your hypnotherapist will talk to you about the issue that you hope to fix through hypnotherapy. He or she will then initiate a state of relaxation in which you will have access to the subconscious portions of your mind. Along with your therapist, you will then begin to directly address the issue. Expect to feel relaxed and refreshed after your Orlando hypnotherapy session.
